Heavy rainfall also caused flash flooding in Harrison and Jackson Counties, with apartment units flooded in Gulfport, several roads covered in water, and stalled vehicles reported. Over the Mississippi Sound, thunderstorms generated measured wind gusts between 41 and 48 mph at Ship Island, Gulfport, and Bay Waveland Yacht Club buoys.
