(Today and tonight) Issued at 216 AM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024 Gusty southerly winds will continue through most of the day as the surface pressure gradient increases. A few locations across northwestern Oklahoma may see gusts around 40 mph, but most locations across the area will see gusts around 30-35 mph. Cloud cover will gradually diminish through the afternoon, helping high temperatures get to the upper 80s to low 90s. Thunderstorms across southwestern Kansas may attempt to move into northwest Oklahoma during the late portions of the afternoon. There is a low chance that these storms are severe as they move into the area. Damaging wind gusts is the main hazard. && .LONG TERM...
