Above freezing temperatures resulted in initial rainfall across southeast Minnesota until colder air moved from northwest to southeast late on April 1st, providing a mix of sleet, rain, and freezing rain. These near freezing temperatures persisted into April 3rd in select spots providing the highly variable snowfall accumulations. Storm total accumulations varied from a minimum of 0.3 near Austin (Mower County) to a maximum of 8.0 of Caledonia (Houston County) through April 3rd.
