.DISCUSSION...
The pattern aloft over the Florida peninsula this morning features
troughing across the north and ridging extending westward across the
south. A surface boundary remains draped across the region with the
ridge axis south of the local area. For the rest of today, we
continue with a southwest flow as the surface boundary lifts
northward a bit. Some showers and storms are already ongoing
across coastal regions early this morning and this trend will
continue through the first half of the day before the majority of
the convection shifts inland this evening.
An east-southeast flow returns Friday and remains through the
weekend and next week. Even deeper moisture will move over the
region as well and so we should see more storms that also bring an
additional threat for heavy rainfall.

VFR conditions are expected outside of convection. Showers and
a few storms are already moving onshore near most terminals and
will keep TEMPO groups in place. Rainfall will expand in coverage
through the rest of the day and additional TEMPOs may be needed.
With southwest flow, most activity should shift east of the
coastal terminals, but still cannot rule out an additional storm
or two through the rest of the day.

Southwest flow continues through today with morning showers and
storms shifting inland through the rest of the day. An east to
southeast flow takes hold starting Friday and continues through the
weekend along with increased rain chances later in the day. No
headlines are expected.
