Under northeasterly flow due to high pressure situated near southern Nevada, thunderstorm activity, fueled by 500-1000 J/KG of MLCAPE, developed along the Mogollon Rim and White Mountains and moved southwestward towards Gila County and most of southeastern AZ. Activity weakened before reaching the south-central AZ lower deserts due to strong convective inhibition.

Under northeasterly flow due to high pressure situated near southern Nevada, thunderstorm activity, fueled by 500-1000 J/KG of MLCAPE, developed along the Mogollon Rim and White Mountains and moved southwestward towards Gila County and most of southeastern AZ. Activity weakened before reaching the south-central AZ lower deserts due to strong convective inhibition. DCAPE values, however, were near 2000 J/KG across the lower deserts of south-central AZ and thus conditions were favorable for long traveling deep outflow boundaries. One such outflow boundary emanating from higher terrain activity affected the Phoenix area, with the strongest winds observed across the Phoenix East Valley where gusts upwards of 50 mph were observed.

Awning blown apart from one house with the garage roof ripped off from another home from a mobile home park unit located near the area of East Broadway Road and 86th street in East Mesa. Peak wind gusts were estimated at around 50 mph with timing estimated from radar. No injuries were reported.
