Lake effect bands developed over Onondaga and Madison Counties on the 27th and continued into the morning hours of the 28th. These bands extended far inland with the help of the multi-lake connection of the Georgian Bay and Lake Ontario. The bands re-intensified during early morning hours on the 28th. Totals generally ranged from just a few inches to nearly a foot. Lesser amounts were also reported on the edges of the heaviest bands.
