An area of low pressure pushed across the region resulting in primarily freezing rain across western Massachusetts. Freezing rain began in the early morning hours and continued into the afternoon hours before tapering off. Some sleet and snowflakes mixed in across some areas but was rather brief. Overall flat ice accumulations of 0.10 to 0.25 of an inch were common. This resulted in slippery travel with reports of many vehicle accidents around the City of North Adams.
