A mesoscale convective system moving southwest across Georgia and Alabama on 6/15 decayed just after midnight as it moved through Alabama. The residual feature continued southwest through the morning hours of the 16th.

A mesoscale convective system moving southwest across Georgia and Alabama on 6/15 decayed just after midnight as it moved through Alabama. The residual feature continued southwest through the morning hours of the 16th. Daytime heating reinvigorated the system across southeast Louisiana in the afternoon hours. One storm intensified enough to produce damaging wind gusts.
