Latest satellite imagery, surface observations and radar imagery are
showing mostly sunny skies across most of west central and southwest
Florida except over the Nature Coast where showers and storms have
been firing off over the northeast gulf and moving onshore since
early this morning. Some showers and storms are also popping up over
the gulf waters west of Charlotte Harbor. Similar to yesterday, we
will see any increase in coverage this afternoon with showers and
storms moving from west to east. Made some adjustments to POPs based
on latest radar trends and HRRR guidance. No other changes needed at
this time.

VFR conditions expected to prevail at all terminals through the
period. Showers and storms will move into west central and southwest
Florida early afternoon, so will hold VCTS at all terminals after
18Z and continuing through 01Z. Winds remain less than 10 knots
outside of convection.

High pressure continues to ridge over southern Florida while a weak
frontal boundary remains stretched across northern Florida and into
the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. This will keep a predominant SSW
through W flow over the eastern gulf waters through early Wednesday.
The front stalls over Florida by Wednesday with high pressure
building into the southeast U.S. through the remainder of the week.
This will bring a shift in winds to the NE then ESE by the end of
the week. Scattered showers and storms will be possible each day
through the week and into the weekend. Frequent lightning, strong
wind gusts and rough seas will be possible near storms, so mariners
should remain vigilant during the afternoon and evening hours.
Otherwise, no headlines are needed through the period.
