.SYNOPSIS...
Hot conditions expected through early to mid next week. Monday and
Tuesday are expected to be the hottest with gradual cooling for the
end of the week. Low clouds will be mostly absent with more
widespread mid to high level clouds.

Forecast Highlight:
*Hot conditions will peak Monday and Tuesday with widespread
moderate to locally high heat risk.
High pressure will become the dominant driver of our weather over
the region into early next week. Temperatures will continue to
increase through the weekend, peaking Monday and Tuesday. Inland
temperatures west of the mountains should rise to 8-15 degrees above
normal and up to 10 degrees above normal in the deserts. That means
temperatures 100 to 105 for the Inland Empire; mid to upper 90s to
locally 100 in inland Orange County and San Diego inland valleys;
105 to 110 degrees in the lower deserts; and upper 90s to 100 in the
High Desert.
Ensemble clusters are in relatively good agreement that the ridge
will begin to weaken and move east Tuesday, although there is some
uncertainty in the strength of the trough that is supposed to
breakdown the ridge. The largest spread in high temperatures
solutions is on Tuesday and Wednesday for coastal locations, with
the potential for coastal temperatures on Wednesday to be similar
to Tuesday's or a few degrees cooler. Thursday into next weekend,
uncertainty remains in just how much cooling will occur but most
guidance indicates a gradual cooling trend.
Low clouds will be mostly absent for the next week, with a few
patches possible at times. Increasing mid-level moisture into the
area will increase mid to high cloud coverage. Cumulus clouds will
develop over the mountains during the afternoons. Chances of
precipitation are very slight (less than 15 percent) and mainly over
mountain ridges.

The Manzanita Fire was reported around 3:22 PM along Highway 330 near Middle Passing Lane in Running Springs. The wildfire topped out near 50 acres and significant fire running uphill before the fire department stopped the forward progress of the blaze.
