A warm front lifted through the mid-Atlantic as weak low pressure tracked just west of the region. Overrunning precipitation occurred as the front moved through, but warm air advection on top of an already marginally cold air mass yielded mainly liquid precipitation. However, some freezing rain did occur initially in higher elevation areas.
