At 701 AM CDT, Meteorologists were tracking strong thunderstorms
along a line extending from near Gore Springs to near Malmaison.
Movement was east at 30 mph.
Winds up to 40 mph will be possible with these storms.
Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Gore Springs around 705 AM CDT.
Winona and Duck Hill around 730 AM CDT.
Lodi and Sweatman around 745 AM CDT.
Other locations impacted by these storms include Carrollton.

High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious
injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors
during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

</html>The Columbus AFB radar (KGWX), 29 km away, was scanning. The volume nearest the first event began at 18:02 UTC.
3 thunderstorm wind. Local standard time, as filed.
A few trees were blown down near the Columbus Air Force Base, including one which fell onto a power line near Mike Parra Road and US Highway 45.
A tree was blown down onto a house east of Quitman, just off of MS Highway 18.
Multiple trees were blown down in Heidelberg, including one which fell onto a home and another which fell onto a car. Several fell onto streets in the area.
