A quick moving storm system brought mountain snow and valley rain to the region. Snow fell down to 4000 feet creating difficult travel conditions. The valley experienced travel impacts as well, especially during a period of heavy rain. Local news reported that 9 vehicular accidents involving 33 vehicles along highway 50 occurred on March 7 due to people driving to fast or close together during rainy conditions. 6 people were injured due to the collisions and no additional news has been released.
