Rain mixed with and changed to snow during the afternoon into the evening hours. Snowfall accumulations ranged from under 1/2 inch to 2.5 inches in southern middle Tennessee. Temperatures were near or just above freezing during the snowfall, so most of the accumulation occurred on grassy and elevated surfaces.
