The Vermillion River near Davis (gage site DVSS2) reached a crest of 1.56 feet above flood stage on May 11. Water briefly flowed across a section of U.S. Highway 18 west of Davis and additional delays to spring planting occurred in the flood plain.

The Vermillion River near Wakonda (gage site WKAS2) reached a crest of 2.53 feet above flood stage on May 13. Over 10000 acres were again flooded between Centerville and Vermillion, causing additional delays to spring planting activities in the flood plain. Several county and state roads were again inundated by flood waters, including Highway 19 near 299th Street.
