A large ice jam formed along the White River around the Highway 47 Bridge. Water backed up behind the ice, causing hundreds of acres of agricultural land to be flooded. The high water inundated several outbuildings and neared a home along Highway 47. The river crested just shy of 25 feet on March 19th. With the continued snow melt, additional rises were recorded, resulting in a second crest of 20.5 feet and a flow of 37,900 cfs on March 25th. This was the 3rd highest flow on record at this location.
