A cold front moved through the region during the morning of the 9th. Strong wind above the ground, combined with a strong surface pressure gradient behind the front, resulted in strong west to northwest wind across eastern Oklahoma, with frequent gusts to 35 to 45 mph.

A cold front moved through the region during the morning of the 9th. Strong wind above the ground, combined with a strong surface pressure gradient behind the front, resulted in strong west to northwest wind across eastern Oklahoma, with frequent gusts to 35 to 45 mph. The wind briefly gusted to 58 mph at the Foraker Mesonet station in Osage County.
