Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.
A southerly low level flow during the afternoon and evening hours of June 15th resulting in widely scattered showers and thunderstorms associated with the seabreeze to push north across Northcentral Louisiana from the Louisiana coast. Hot and humid conditions contributed to moderate instability developing across the region as the seabreeze thunderstorms pushed north, with an isolated severe thunderstorm developing over Southeast Claiborne Parish while lifting northeast near the Lincoln Parish line. This storm produced damaging winds which downed several trees near the eastern shore of Lake Claiborne, before weakening by early evening with the loss of heating and instability.
