Light winds will mean inland moving seabreezes with Hi-res models showing convection to begin after 1 pm. Light steering flow and high moisture(PWAT~2.25") will produce a slow erratic movement of storms with locally heavy rainfall and possible flooding. A few wet microburts with damaging winds will also be possible in the stronger pulse storms. Temperatures today will not be quite as hot as previous days due to the increased cloud cover/pcpn with highs expected to be in the upper 80s/lower 90s before the onset of showers/storms. && .AVIATION...Patchy morning fog will burn off with VFR conditions to prevail into early afternoon. NELSONThe Tampa radar (KTBW), 150 km away, was scanning. The volume nearest the first event began at 19:05 UTC.
25 heavy rain, 1 thunderstorm wind, 1 flood, 1 lightning. Local standard time, as filed.
A large tree was blown down and blocked the road at SW 136 Court at SW 109th. The cost of damage was unknown, but it was estimated for the event to be included in StormData.
Flooded roads from about 1.5-2.5 inches of rainfall in 45 minutes occurred across Ocala. Locations of flooding including areas near NE 3rd Street, NE 25th Street and parts of NE 10th Street.
One person was indirectly struck and injured by lightning while on a ladder. Lighting struck a tree nearby. The patient was transported to the hospital and was expected to be ok.
An observer near Santa Fe lake measured daily storm total rainfall of 2.68 inches.
