Seabreeze pushing through Atlc TAF sites currently, with all shifting out of the SSE-SE by 19Z. A few SHRA possible along ATLC seabreeze, but main concern will be 20Z-00Z as Gulf convection runs into seabreeze. Activity diminishes after 01Z, though Gulf activity moving onshore may affect KAPF overnight. Similar conditions again for tomorrow, with stronger SW flow. && .PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 1218 PM EDT Tue Jul 23 2019/ UPDATE...Tropical Depression Three has degenerated into a trough of low pressure off the coast of NE Florida this morning, and NHC has issued the last advisory on the system as of 11am. In it's wake we're seeing deep layer south southwest flow as we come more under the influence of an approaching upper level trough and frontal boundary dropping through the Deep South. The influence of the former TD has left a good deep moisture swath across much of the peninsula, which is fighting with the drier air that is trying to advect in from the south. Net result is that we expected another active afternoon and early evening across South Florida, with convective already pushing into interior Southwest Florida from the Gulf along a diffuse seabreeze. Southwesterly flow is not strong enough to inhibit the Atlantic seabreeze. So while it will be later and closer to the coast, a collision of these boundaries later this afternoon will bring the best coverage across the east coast metro, especially across Palm Beach County. Main concerns will be gusty downburst winds, especially if some of the drier air gains more of a foothold, and locally heavy rainfall at times. PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 215 AM EDT Tue Jul 23 2019/ MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS PALM BEACH COUNTY BEACHES TODAY... SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS STORMS INTERIOR/EASTERN AREAS THROUGH THE WEEK... DISCUSSION... Tropical Depression 3 located over the northern portion of South Florida Waters is forecast by NHC to continue to move northward into Central Florida Atlantic waters today, as a cold front over the Southeastern United States moves southward towards northern Florida. This will allow for the steering flow to be south/southwest over South Florida bringing in deep tropical moisture to the area. This will lead to scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms over the interior and east coast metro areas this afternoon with the best coverage over the northeast areas. The west coast metro areas will also see some showers and thunderstorms mainly in the morning hours. The through of low pressure will stall over Northern Florida on Wednesday and slowly dissipate through rest of the week,as tropical depression 3 is forecast by NHC to move northeast and dissipate over the Western Atlantic waters. This weather pattern will allow for the steering flow to remain in a south/southwest direction over South Florida focusing the highest pops over the interior and east coast metro areas each day through rest of the week. Highs rest of this week will be in the lower to mid 90s over most of South Florida, except for upper 80s to lower 90s over the west coast metro areas. Lows will also remain in the 70s over South Florida during this time frame. EXTENDED FORECAST... High pressure will build back into the Florida Peninsula this upcoming weekend from the Western Atlantic waters allowing for the easterly wind flow to set up over South Florida. This will allow for late night and morning showers and thunderstorms over the east coast metro shifting to the interior and west coast metro areas in the afternoon and evening hours for the weekend. MARINE... The winds will be mainly be south to southwest at 10 knots or less over most of South Florida waters today through rest of the week. The only exception is over the offshore Atlantic waters of Palm Beach County where the speeds will be 15 to 20 knots this morning decreasing to 10 to 15 knots this afternoon, as Tropical Depression 3 moves northward away from South Florida. This will allow for the seas to be 2 feet or less over most of the local waters, except for the Atlantic waters of Palm Beach County where they will be 2 to 3 feet today. Therefore, the SCA will continue for the offshore Atlantic waters of Palm Beach County until around 8 AM EDT this morning before going to SCEC conditions for today. The Near-shore Atlantic waters of Palm Beach County will also be in SCEC conditions until 8 AM EDT this morning. BEACH FORECAST...
