A heavy snow band formed overnight on December 2-3 in Hartford and Tolland Counties in northern Connecticut, which produced several inches per hour.

Final snow totals ranged from 8 to 12 inches in southern Hartford County to 12 to 18 inches in northern Hartford County. A trained spotter in North Granby, which had two heavy bands (one on the evening of the 1st and the other overnight on the 2nd/3rd) reported 18.0 inches.
Final snow totals ranged from 5 to 9 inches in southern Tolland County to 10 to 17 inches in northern Tolland County. A trained spotter in Somers reported 17.0 inches. Other sample totals included 14.6 inches in Staffordville, 9.3 inches in Coventry, and only 5.1 inches in Hebron.
