The next few hours will be gusty behind a resurgence of cold air
moving through the area at TAF issuance. Winds will diminish by
09Z and remain light and northerly the remainder of the TAF
period. VFR conditions will remain the next 24 hours.

DISCUSSION...
Cold front currently heading into the Big Bend with gusty
northerly winds and cooler temperatures behind it. Clear skies
with below normal temperatures are expected tonight as a surge of
higher pressure builds into the region. This cool surge will
funnel strong northeast winds through Guadalupe Pass overnight.
A High Wind Warning has been issued for the Pass tonight.

Dry with below normal temperatures are expected Thursday due to
cyclonic northwest flow aloft behind a strong and slow moving
upper level storm system tracking through the Mississippi and Ohio
Valleys.

Friday and Saturday will also be quiet days but warmer as an
upper level ridge moves toward and over the forecast area.

It looks like unsettled weather will finally return to the
forecast area beginning Sunday and continuing through at least
next Tuesday as a large and slow moving upper level storm system
spins across the desert southwest and southern Rockies. This upper
system will send disturbances into the region ahead of it and
interact with the dryline to bring the threat of strong to severe
thunderstorms to the area.

evening. A High Wind Warning is in effect. High profile vehicles
should use caution.
