.PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 531 PM CST Mon Nov 20 2017/

AVIATION...21/00Z TAF Issuance...
Gusty south winds will continue to relax across the region through
sunset. Overnight, winds will remain light and out of the
southwest to west through sunrise. VFR conditions are expected to
prevail, but increasing mid-level ceilings will be SCT to BKN by
midway through the period. Winds will shift out of the north after
sunrise, increasing through the late morning and through the
afternoon.

PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 258 PM CST Mon Nov 20 2017/

DISCUSSION...
Winds will subside this evening and overnight as vertical mixing
diminishes and the surface pressure gradient slackens. Morning
lows Tuesday should be a few degrees warmer than this morning, and
readings will rise quickly in the morning before a cold front
brings another shot of slightly cooler air into the region...along
with blustery north winds.

Wednesday will be slightly cooler than average, but then there
will be a warming trend into Friday. Another front is expected to
arrive Friday night, but ahead of this front, downslope effects in
the southwest surface flow will help raise temperatures to near
(or above) record highs Friday afternoon.

Despite the "cool down" behind the front, the remainder of the
forecast will feature above-average temperatures. Medium-range
models suggest another possibility record warm day a wee from
tomorrow (Tuesday), but that is still beyond the range of this
forecast.
