An upper trough induced heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms as the remnants of former Tropical Cyclone Fernanda moved through the island chain. The isles mainly affected were Oahu and Maui. The rain produced small stream and drainage ditch flooding, and ponding on roadways. No serious injuries or property damage were reported.
