DRIER AND WARMER WEATHER WILL RETURN TO THE REGION FOR NEXT WEEK...
WITH THE WARMEST HIGH TEMPERATURES SO FAR THIS YEAR BY WEDNESDAY.

.DISCUSSION...ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING WILL
INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. WILL
ADJUST POPS SLIGHTLY UPWARDS FOR AREAS WHERE THERE ALREADY SHOWERS
ONGOING. OTHERWISE...FORECAST IS IN GOOD SHAPE.

ACROSS NORTHERN ARIZONA TODAY. WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN SPOTTY SHOWERS
AND A FEW LIGHTNING STRIKES THIS MORNING OVER COCONINO COUNTY.
CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY SHOULD INCREASE BY LATE THIS MORNING WITH
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING THROUGH THIS EVENING.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY A TRANSITION TO DRIER WEATHER WITH WARMER MAX
TEMPS. LINGERING MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL ALLOW FOR WIDELY
SCATTERED STORMS SUNDAY AFTERNOON PRIMARILY OVER THE MOGOLLON
RIM...WHITE MOUNTAINS AND NEAR THE FOUR CORNERS. THERE IS JUST A
LIGHT CHANCE OF STORMS IN THESE AREAS MONDAY.

FROM TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...RISING HEIGHTS AND DRY WESTERLY FLOW
WILL MAKE FOR A SUNNIER AND WARMER WEEK...MORE TYPICAL OF JUNE
WEATHER IN ARIZONA. WE WILL EASILY SEE THE WARMEST HIGH TEMPERATURES
OF THE YEAR SO FAR. THE LOWEST VALLEYS OF YAVAPAI COUNTY COULD BREAK
100 DEGREES THIS WEEK. SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS GUSTING TO 25 MPH
SHOULD RETURN FOR THE AFTERNOONS.

MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...A WARMER AND DRIER WESTERLY FLOW WILL SET
UP OVER NORTHERN ARIZONA. BREEZY SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED EACH
AFTERNOON. JUNE LOOKS TO FINALLY ARRIVE.
