Rain rates, as measured by local storm spotters, approached 2 inches per hour at times and led to some small stream flooding. Communities affected included Globe, Miami and Claypool. The heavy rain led to the issuance of 2 Small Stream Flood Advisories for southern Gila county.

Scattered thunderstorms developed across southern Gila county during the afternoon hours, and they produced locally heavy rainfall which affected communities such as Globe and Claypool. At 1523MST, a trained spotted 3 miles northeast of Claypool measured 0.91 inches of rain; the rain fell in a 30 minute period. The heavy rain led to the issuance of 2 Small Stream Flood Advisories for the area.
