.SYNOPSIS...MONSOONAL CIRCULATION WILL CONTINUE TO BRING ISOLATED TO
SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE ABOVE AVERAGE.

.DISCUSSION...RATHER ACTIVE DAY NORTH OF A WICKENBURG-WINDOW ROCK
LINE TODAY. STORMS ARE MOVING NORTH TO NORTHEAST. A FEW STORMS HAVE
PRODUCED OVER AN INCH OF RAIN. PRESCOTT REPORTED 1.63 INCHES OF RAIN
FROM A THUNDERSTORM EARLIER IN THE DAY. STORMS WILL CONTINUE INTO
THE EVENING HOURS MAINLY AROUND....WEST AND NORTH OF FLAGSTAFF.
DRIER AIR HAS MOVED OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF OUR CWA TODAY AND
HAS LIMITED STORM ACTIVITY. THIS DRIER AIR WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH
NORTH AND WEST TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY WITH A DECREASE IN THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY. MOISTURE WILL MOVE BACK OVER THE STATE ON SATURDAY WITH A
FAIRLY STANDARD MONSOONAL CIRCULATION FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
SOME DRYING IS AGAIN EXPECTED NEXT WEEK AS THE MID-LEVEL HIGH MOVES
OVERHEAD. MOISTURE PROFILES ARE DECENT...BUT INSTABILITY IS A BIT
WEAK. LOW TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE GRADE MONSOONAL CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED THROUGH THE FORECAST PERIOD AS A RESULT. WITH PARTIALLY
LIMITED CLOUD COVER AND RAINFALL...DAYTIME HIGHS WILL CONTINUE TO BE

Thunderstorms produced between 1.42 and 2.42 inches of rain over an hour and a half across the Prescott area (between 330 PM MST and 500 PM MST). Up to 2.60 inches of rain fell over a 6 hour period. This produced nuisance flooding in low water crossings from Williamson Valley to Groom Greek and in Granite Creek Park. Penny (3/4 inch diameter) hail was reported at 341 PM on the western side of Prescott.
