PLACE OVERHEAD, REMAINDER OF THE LINE HAD QUICKLY DIMINISHED IN

RIC METRO, WITH LOWER EASTERN SHORE AND REMAINDER OF AKQ CWA
LIKELY TO BE PLACED IN A CONVECTIVE WATCH BOX WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR
OR TWO. STRONG DAMAGING WIND GUSTS REMAIN THE PRIMARY THREAT, AS
STRONG SYNOPTIC SCALE WIND SPEEDS SHOULD HAVE LITTLE DIFFICULTY

Wind gusts up to 60 mph (52 knots) produced widespread damage across the county. The most significant damage occurred near Dare, where two mobile homes were destroyed by falling trees. A few additional structures sustained minor roof damage in Cheatham Annex due to tops of trees being sheared off. Several trees were also downed county wide, with several snapped and uprooted trees in Dalbytown. Additional downed trees were also blocking Wallermiller Road.

Strong winds estimated at 52 knots (60 miles per hour) produced near zero visibilities along the Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel due to coal dust from the nearby coal piers.
