A surface low pressure system, along with an upper level trough of low pressure brought widespread severe weather across north central and northeastern South Dakota. Severe storms produced large hail up to two inches in diameter, winds up to 70 mph, along with some isolated flash flooding. These conditions caused damage to homes, vehicles, crops, and trees. Locally heavy rainfall of 2 to 5 inches in Spink County resulted in some flash flooding.
