2 thunderstorm wind, 1 lightning. Local standard time, as filed.
A tree was blown down near highway 20 at Austin Rd and another tree was blown down near Brick Mill Rd and highway 76.
A tree was blown down on highway 92 near Enoree. Another tree was blown down on I-26 near the Laurens County line.
A 50 year old man was struck by lightning, while working on his truck, under a tree, in the yard. The incident took place Sunday September 1, 2013. The man died Thursday September 5, 2013.
As the offices recorded each death: direct deaths were caused by the weather itself, indirect ones by something it set in motion.
