A warm front lifted north through the region during the day on the 19th of July, leaving the forecast area in a very hot and humid air mass. Thunderstorms riding over an upper level ridge along this boundary developed during the late afternoon across eastern Ontario and southern Quebec. These storm intensified as they dropped southeast through the evening hours. Damage from these storms was exclusively due to strong winds.
