Lake-Effect Snow in Michigan, January 21 to 22, 2013
Very cold, but relatively light, northwest winds brought lake effect snow to northern Michigan. An isolated area of heavy snow occurred in the Paradise area of eastern Upper Michigan, where around 9 inches of snow fell on the 21st.

Very cold, but relatively light, northwest winds brought lake effect snow to northern Michigan. An isolated area of heavy snow occurred in the Paradise area of eastern Upper Michigan, where around 9 inches of snow fell on the 21st. Snowfall amounts were a little less in northern Lower Michigan, where 4 to 8 inches fell in parts of the snowbelts over a 24-hour period.
