A frontal boundary was located well south of the Louisiana and Arkansas state line during the afternoon hours of March 23rd. However, an upper level disturbance moved out of Texas and into the region from the west. This disturbance spawned showers and thunderstorms, one of which produced damaging wind gusts in Union Parish, Louisiana.
