Low clouds and a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and rain were found across southeast and east central Iowa, northeast Missouri and west central and northwest Illinois on Sunday, January 27th as a storm system lifted northeast into the plains. Ice accumulations of a light glaze up to two tenths of an inch were common with a few isolated reports at or above a quarter inch.

Low clouds and a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and rain were found across southeast and east central Iowa, northeast Missouri and west central and northwest Illinois on Sunday, January 27th as a storm system lifted northeast into the plains. Ice accumulations of a light glaze up to two tenths of an inch were common with a few isolated reports at or above a quarter inch. By 8 pm, temperatures had risen into the 32 to 39 degree range in all locations.
