A band of heavy lake effect snow affected portions of north-central Indiana on November 27th. Snowfall totals of 5 to 10 inches occurred in a narrow band across St. Joseph County into northern Marshall County, with lighter snows on the periphery of this band.

Lake effect snow bands set up over the area during the late evening hours of November 26th and continued through the afternoon and early evening hours of November 27th. Snowfall totals generally ranged between 4 and 8 inches, heaviest across far northern St. Joseph County where a few locations received up to a foot of snow. Reduced visibilities, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour at times, created hazardous driving conditions across the area. Accidents and slide-offs were reported across the region.
