An upper low and associated cold front resulted in a significant snowfall event which began on April 30th in some locations. Significant snowfall occurred with this storm in many mountain areas of northwest and west central Colorado.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA TODAY BRINGING
PRECIPITATION WITH SOME ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE. GUSTY
WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED AHEAD OF THE FRONT WITH WIND ADVISORIES
ISSUED FOR MANY AREAS WITH GUSTS OF 45 MPH EXPECTED. THESE
WINDS...ALONG WITH LOW HUMIDITIES...HAVE ALSO CREATED CRITICAL
FIRE CONDITIONS CAUSING SEVERAL RED FLAG WARNINGS TO BE ISSUED
FOR MUCH OF COLORADO.
