Thunderstorms produced 1 to 2 inches of rain in less than an hour over parts of Eloy. Without sufficient drainage, water quickly ponded, flooding streets and yards. Water was a foot deep in some streets, stranding several vehicles. Damage due to flooding of homes was minimal, but extensive areas of mud were left on streets and in yards.
