What happened

The episode as NWS HFO wrote it up.

A fire burned more than 650 acres of dry brush and eucalyptus in an area one mile west of Waimea Canyon State Park on Kauai. Many of the eucalyptus trees caught in the fire were 80 to 120 feet tall. The blaze was hard to fight because it was in a remote location. No serious injuries were reported. The cost of damages was not available, and the cause of the blaze was not known. By the end of June, the fire was about 15% contained.
