THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED NOT ONLY IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF NM AS THEY HAVE PREVIOUS DAYS BUT ALSO EAST OF A SURFACE TROUGH IN THE EASTERN TX PANHANDLE. THEREFORE...EXPANDED POPS TO INCLUDE ALL OF THE REGION THROUGH THIS EVENING...THOUGH STILL EXPECT THAT THE BEST CHANCE FOR ORGANIZED CONVECTION WILL BE IN THE NORTHWESTERN PANHANDLE REGION. A National Weather Service Storm Survey reported that there was downburst wind damage from a thunderstorm at the Rick Husband International Airport in Amarillo Texas. There was damage to hangar doors and two aircraft at the airport. Also, the windshield of a vehicle was broken out in the parking lot adjacent to the airport. There were no reports of injuries or fatalities.

Local law enforcement officials reported that two power poles had blown down by downburst thunderstorm winds near the intersection of Texas State Highway 207 and County Road H about ten miles northeast of Gruver Texas in Hansford County. There were no reports of injuries or fatalities.
