The Big Draw Wildfire continued into September. This fire had 50 foot flame lengths and short distance spotting early in its lifetime. Numerous volunteer fire departments responded.
The Double T Wildfire burned approximately 300 acres in northeast Menard County. It was approximately 95 percent contained.
The Rick Ranch Wildfire in southeast Sutton County continued into September. The fire burned approximately 330 acres in late August.
