A flattening ridge over the eastern Pacific Ocean allowed for a decent fetch of moisture to move into the region out of the British Columbia. Snowfall was primarily confined to the Northeast Mountains and Idaho Panhandle. Heavy snowfall was reported in the Northern Panhandle with most other locations across the forecast area receiving lighter amounts.
