Strong winds and low humidity resulted in a grass fire that rapidly spread across Columbia County, Arkansas, 4 miles south of Magnolia. The fire consumed 200 acres of grassland. The fire spread to Hwy. 79 where traffic was rerouted onto a county road for approximately two hours. The fire began at a local residents house and spread to the surrounding grass land. No other structures were affected.
