Two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms moved across southeast Texas during the evening hours of October 11 into the early morning hours of October 12. One large and intense supercell thunderstorm produced large hail across Newton County, while a squall line produced several reports of wind damage and large hail in Jasper and Tyler counties.
