A storm survey by a NWS employee revealed extensive flooding in downtown Hemingway. The back parking lot of the Post Office flooded, with water reaching the floorboards of several vans. A dumpster floated to the other side of the parking lot. Water flooded the Masonic Temple, despite sandbags. Flood waters also entered the Town Hall.
