Broad low pressure swept cold moist air across the upper Ohio valley. Heavy snow fell across Garrett county Maryland as well as the ridges of northern West Virginia and Fayette county in Pennsylvania.
Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.

Broad low pressure swept cold moist air across the upper Ohio valley. Heavy snow fell across Garrett county Maryland as well as the ridges of northern West Virginia and Fayette county in Pennsylvania. Snow showers accumulated 8 to 16 inches across these regions with the larger amounts across higher elevations. Snow showers across the remiander of western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia produced light accumulations.
