The cold front moved into a very warm and humid air mass in place across central New York, with dew points in the low to mid 70s. Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed across the area, and several of the storms became severe, producing damaging wind gusts.

Numerous trees were blown down just southeast of Potter.
Trees and limbs were blown down on Main Street.
A possible funnel cloud was reported by the general public, just south of Endwell. The funnel did not touch the ground from the viewer's vantage point.
Several trees were blown down. A roof was partially blown off a small shed.
Wind damage occurred to 10 buildings, with one roof blown off. The damage occurred along Route 26 and the intersection of County Route 13 in South Otselic.
