The Carson City based Nevada Appeal relayed a Nevada Highway Patrol report of three accidents (involving 5 vehicles) due to dense fog with visibilities as low as 30 feet and an icy bridge on the Carson City bypass around 0400PST. The dense fog caused the closure of the freeway between 0500PST and 0630PST. In addition to accidents, several flights into the Reno-Tahoe airport were delayed due to the dense fog.
