Heavy Snow in Maine, January 1 to 3, 2010
An area of low pressure moving very slowly westward through the Gulf of Maine brought heavy snow to the mid coast and mountains of western Maine. Snowfall amounts ranged from more than a foot in Lincoln, Knox and Kennebec Counties to 8 to 12 inches in the western mountains.
