What happened

The episode as NWS SHV wrote it up.

Deep tropical moisture associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Bonnie spread into northeast Texas, northern Louisiana, southwest Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma. The moisture combined with very warm afternoon temperatures to produce a very unstable environment across the region. The result was scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms...some of which produced damaging wind gusts, and locally heavy rainfall amounts which produced some minor flooding at times.
