Low pressure developed off the mid Atlantic coast Monday evening, February 15th. This low strengthened as it moved rapidly northeast reaching southern New England by Tuesday evening. Eight to 10 inches of snow accumulated across northern Litchfield County and 5 to 8 inches across the southern portion of the county.
